Spring Beauty
This little guy is called "Spring Beauty" (Claytonia virginica). Grows in spectacular colonies with the small delicate flowers ranging in color from white to pink with pink veins and stamens. The plant grows from a small, edible underground tuber somewhat like a small sweet potato. Named for Va. botanist John Clayton
